On November 14th, Maia Weinstock, author of Breaking Brick Stereotypes: LEGO Unveils a Female Scientist, editor and writer specializing in science and children’s media, and Director at BrainPOP will be talking about “Encouraging girls and women in STEM.” She will cover research, as well as examples from various facets of her own experience — whether as a student working toward an undergrad degree in biology, her experiences in science journalism and children’s media, her recent work on women in/on Wikipedia (i.e. both as contributors and subjects of articles), and her LEGO work and research. Get ready to share some of your own experiences!
