Valerie M. Hudson is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of International Affairs at The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, where she directs the Program on Women, Peace, and Security. She is a co-founder and co-PI on The WomanStats Project. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Minerva Initiative of the US Department of Defense, the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, the Compton Foundation, and others. She is co-author of Bare Branches, Sex and World Peace, The Hillary Doctrine, and The First Political Order.
