Laurie Stickels from the Center for Workplace Development will be joining us to share techniques and resources that help with your career development.  In this workshop Laurie will provide:

  • Tools to assess where you are currently at with your career and how to move it in the right direction
  • How to take advantage of Harvard resources to help with your career development
  • Tips and techniques for networking to help expand your career opportunities

Laurie Stickels Biography:  Laurie has worked as the manager of Career Programs at the Center for Workplace Development for 15 years. In her role she designs and delivers career development workshops for Harvard staff which assist employees in identifying their interests and skills and matching them to the current trends and needs of the workplace. In addition she facilitates several of the interpersonal communication courses such as Difficult Conversations, Making the Most of Feedback and Communicating at Work. Laurie is qualified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Strong Interest Inventory and Strengths Finder and uses these instruments to help participants gain understanding and perspective around how best to use their natural strengths and tendencies in their work.

Laurie received her M.A. in Organizational Communication from Emerson College and her B.S. in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University.
