I’m very excited to announce we’ve rescheduled our guest speaker for our HarvardWIT meeting, and we have a beautiful room within Andover Hall on the Divinity School campus.

I attended a session Kim Meninger led at a Boston WITI event about two years ago on the topic of Impostor Syndrome (see below), and I reached out to her to bring a similar interactive discussion to us here at Harvard.

Topic Description: Greater Confidence, Greater Career Success

At one time or another, virtually every professional will experience challenges with confidence. You may doubt your ability to perform a specific role or function, question the value of a comment you’d like to share, or hesitate to connect with another colleague or leader. While confidence gaps are normal, if not managed effectively, they can prevent you from reaching your professional goals. Perhaps you struggle with Impostor Syndrome, a term for the feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy many professionals face, particularly as they reach higher levels of success. This interactive discussion will help you to identify common triggers of low confidence and develop key strategies for overcoming your feelings of self-doubt, to more quickly and easily achieve your goals.

About Kim Meninger:

Kim Meninger is an executive coach and founder of Executive Career Success, LLC. She partners with current and future leaders across industries and functional roles to develop the confidence, influence and strategies they need to achieve their professional goals. She is especially passionate about helping women, people of color and others who have been traditionally underrepresented in leadership to advance to higher-level roles.

Kim has coached hundreds of clients and presented on career advancement and leadership topics to corporate and academic audiences. She is regularly sought to train, coach, and mentor current and future business leaders on the art and science of leadership, including strategy development, effective communication, and team building.

Prior to coaching, Kim had a successful corporate career managing strategic partnerships at EMC Corporation and Monster Worldwide. Kim has a BA in psychology and an MBA from Boston College. She is an ICF-certified and CCE Board Certified Coach with certifications in Executive and Leadership Development Coaching. Kim also holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.
