Annie Rota is Director of AV Services in Harvard University IT. She is developing strategy and services for AV in Harvard's central IT organization, and convening and coordinating AV practices and standards amongst Harvard's schools. She is active in Harvard's learning technologies community, a member of the 2013 cohort of the Educause Institute Learning Technologies Leadership Program, and a graduate of the 2023 MOR Ivy+ IT Leadership Program. She was previously Director of Academic Technology for Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Prior to Harvard, Annie worked in higher education publishing, and served as technical lead for Pearson Education's CourseCompass (at the time, the world's largest Blackboard system). She earned her undergraduate degree at Yale University, her Master’s in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and taught at Boston University's College of Communications.
