Given the impact of COVID-19 on all of our lives, we are starting a new virtual series for the summer called "Summer AmAs", where we invite experts from across the university to give a short presentation and take questions on issues that are important to our members during this difficult time.
 To that end, the Chairs are happy to announce Summer HarvardWIT+ AMA’s (Ask Me Anything’s), hour-long informal discussions on topics we know are important to all of you.

Increasing Your Cash Flow During the Pandemic

On June 15th, please join Migdalia Gomez, Community Engagement Manager and Sarah Scruggs, Community Engagement Specialist, both of the Harvard University Employees Credit Union for the first of our summer Ask Me Anything series.  Migdalia will discuss ways to minimize expenses, restructure debt, and loan options available to help cover financial gaps. 

Bio: Migdalia Gomez is the Community Engagement Manager at the Harvard University Employees Credit Union. Migdalia helps improve the personal financial wellbeing by developing and delivering financial education to Harvard University, and affiliated communities. Migdalia also provides financial coaching to credit union members. She has served on national and statewide committees on financial education, presented and volunteered at national, state and regional higher education and financial wellness conferences and spread personal finance knowledge on television and radio shows. Migdalia is an Accredited Financial Counselor and has her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.

Bio: Sarah Scruggs is the Community Engagement Specialist at Harvard University Employees Credit Union. She works closely with community partners and is working to grow our community’s financial well-being. She manages our partnerships with non-profit groups in and around the Boston area to provide financial education, employee volunteer opportunities and monetary donations.
